Job Details

• Pilot aircraft during the three categories of test flights, production acceptance, engineering, and experimental
• Test C-130J aircraft to validate and verify compliance with specifications, determine operational suitability, and conduct developmental test
• Perform as a C-130J instructor pilot for customer pilots and aircrew during syllabus training flights
• Conduct classroom training instruction for company and customer aircrew
• May conduct airshow demonstrations as well as demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other personnel aboard to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities and system capabilities
• Provide pilot input to flight test, production, engineering, training, customer support, and marketing teams
• Assist engineering with the development of ground and flight test procedures
• Review, validate, verify and update flight manuals and source material
• Participate in long and short term planning for requirements definition and Statement of Work development for C-130J testing, production acceptance, training, and engineering design support
• Participate in test plan development, test plan reviews, Safety Review Boards, and First Flight Readiness Reviews
• Develop Temporary Operating Procedures and Aircraft Operating Limitations for flight test programs

Basic Qualifications
• Military Test Pilot School (TPS) graduate from a US DOD approved school with C-130J flight test experience
• Pilot with at least 3000 hours flying time in Turbo Jet and/or Turbo Prop aircraft
• Must have at least 800 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) / Aircraft Commander flying time with at least 200 hours in C-130J
• Current FAA Second Class or First Class physical or equivalent
• Current and qualified as an Instructor Pilot or Flight Examiner in C-130J
• Secret Security Clearance

Desired skills
• FAA Licenses: Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) - Airplane Multi-engine Land
Flight Instructor (CFI) – Airplane Multi-engine and/or Instrument Airplane
L-382J or L-382 Type Rating
• C-130J experience with Tactical Operations and/or Special Operations a plus
• Current or previously qualified to conduct Functional Check Flight/Acceptance Check Flight (FCF/ACF) operations in C-130J
• Legacy C-130 model flight test experience a plus
• Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 25 aircraft certification operations a plus
• C-5 or P-3 pilot experience a plus
