Job Details

Responsible for the flight operations of all LM Aero-Marietta aircraft including engineering testing, production acceptance, training, demonstration and transportation flying. Responsible for the preparation of Air Mobility Flight Manual Procedures in accordance with the US military regulations, covering engineering, experimental and production acceptance of military aircraft. Responsible for Air Mobility flight training curriculums to support contractual, regulatory and company requirements for crew, customers and FAA test personnel. Responsible for advising engineering in the development of Air Mobility flight test and recommendations concerning design improvements, operations and safety features.
Manages qualified flight crews and support for the conduct of flights of all Air Mobility programs controlled by LM AERO – Marietta, to include flight test, production acceptance, and Training. Manages and oversees preparation and maintenance of LM Aero Flight Standards Manuals and operational procedures for all Air Mobility handbooks. Supervises the development of Air Mobility flight training curriculums and establish company and customer aircrew training programs. Manages aircrew training coordinator’s office. Furnishes Air Mobility flight test expertise and review all test programs for procedures and safety requirements. Provides Air Mobility flight crew member support for all simulator development programs and cockpit mock-up
Financial/Personnel: Common/Multiple/Deployed employees: 30-50
Technical: Balancing priorities of multiple programs/customers while minimizing headcount/facilities costs
Liaisons/Involvement: Program Senior Leadership, Program IPTs, Business Development, suppliers, other LM Aero sites, VIP visitors, and multiple customers. Provides Flight Operations liaison across all LM Aero programs

Basic Qualifications
Must be a pilot with the following criteria:
• Turbo Prop or Turbo Jet Experience of at least 2000 hours total pilot time
• At least 1000 hours aircraft commander time, preferably in C-5 or C-130J
• Military Test Pilot School graduate or able to attain a waiver for DCMAI 8210.1 operations
• Flight Instructor or Flight Examiner
• Current Second Class FAA Medical or equivalent
• Experienced and knowledgeable with DCMAI 8210.1, Contractor’s flight Operations
• Must be willing to do International Travel (30-90 day periods)
• Current U.S. Passport
• Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, engineering or Technical

Desired skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• FAA Licenses: ATP, Airplane, Multi-engine Land
• CFI-Multi-Engine Airplane and/or Instrument
• Management experience at any level within LM Aeronautics or an equivalent organization
• Experience leading multiple sites
• Qualification or experience in aircraft operated at the LM Aeronautics – Marietta site
