Indiana Tech invites applications for a full time, tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in electrical engineering at the Fort Wayne, IN campus. Outstanding candidates will be considered in all focus areas. A PhD in electrical engineering is preferred but a Master’s degree with significant, relevant industry experience and some teaching experience will be considered. The standard teaching load at Indiana Tech is four courses each semester. The start date for this position would be August 13, 2018.

All academic programs are designed to provide students with relevant and practical experiences, including an emphasis on internships. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.  The electrical engineering program is ABET accredited



  • PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred. A master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience will be considered.
  • All electrical engineering specialties will be considered.



  • 2 years of teaching experience is preferred. Teaching Assistant experience will be considered.
  • Expertise in all basic electrical engineering measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of a PSpice base simulator.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach four courses per semester as assigned by the Dean
  • Serve on committees
  • Advise Students
  • Assist with maintaining the lab
  • Fulfill service and professional development requirements as outlined in the tenure process
