Job Details

As an experienced technician for the EADGE-T Communications program, the position requires experience working on a variety of systems to include mechanical rack and stack of various equipment like network devices, IT devices like servers, tactical radios, etc. This position requires experience in testing, installation of subsystem of the EADGE-T system. The candidate should be experienced in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical systems and additionally have experience building out systems. The candidate must also have hardware/system, and electrical distribution engineering experience, and should support RF engineer with lab and field installation and testing. The candidate must be willing to travel overseas and within the USA

Basic Qualifications
The candidate must be an experienced technician in communications systems, satellite communications systems, digital and analog peripherals, fiber optic distribution systems, high-speed digital networks, mobile/portable radio systems, encryption systems, The candidate must have knowledge/experience of tactical shelters, and Communications On-The-Move (COTM) systems (Mobile/Deployable Air Operations Center (M/DAOC) used in austere military environments. The candidate must have mechanical and electrical assembly and testing experience

Desired skills
The following are desirable:
Hardware/system, and electrical distribution engineering experience
• Experience in installation of mobile power distribution systems (AC and DC), tactical radio and antennas systems, voice intercom systems, and Satcom on the Move systems
• Wind load calculations for elevated mast and antenna systems
• Design and testing of hardware and systems to MIL-STD-810
• Electrical distribution design, build and installation experience
• Experience working in circuit board troubleshooting and repair, soldering, fiber optic installation and repair
. Experience in sheet metal and bracketry, machining, etc
