Technical services in support of, but not limited to, Saudi MK92 Radar refurbishment program, overhaul and field service activities. The effort includes the modification and upgrade of the Fire Control System (FCS) Mark (Mk) 92 equipment and involves performing services to bring the system to the Mod 5 Block 14 Ordnance Alterations (ORDALT) configuration. The modified equipment involves overhaul of CAS antennas, CAS Gyro Refreshment, MK92 electronics above and below deck modifications, and waveguide repair and refurbishment. The work will take place at the Land Based Test Site (LBTS) at Lockheed Martin (LM) Huntsville prior to shipment to Saudi Arabia. Upon shipment to Saudi, the modification will then be installed onboard RSNF ships in country. Span of the work goes for one year with optional follow on support.
The Field Support Technician is responsible for the introduction of the latest technology related to the MK 92 Program and will work at the Huntsville operation and be willing to travel overseas to Saudi or other locations such as Poland, Egypt, etc. for field service activity.
These services shall also include; On-board Troubleshooting Expertise, Corrective Actions, On-board Maintenance Training, System Software/Hardware support, and system installation actions. Applicant must be able to hold a DOD Secret Clearance. Applicant will also be required to conduct on-the-job training for engineers and maintenance personnel. This includes operational theory, functional specifications, operations and maintenance

Basic Qualifications
Naval Experience as a technician or engineer is required. General experience with radar technology. Experience as a field service engineer or technician. Must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance. Obtaining a clearance requires US citizenship

Desired skills
A strong technical understanding of MK 92 Radar suite. Strong understanding of Navy modernization programs as well as navy field service activities. Thorough understanding of SHIPALTS, ORDALTS as well as military specifications governing field service and installation activities. Position requires gathering, analyzing, and composing technical information as well as being able to read plans, drawing and procedures to conduct installation, maintenance and field service activities of electronic, radar and combat weapons system equipment
