Candidate will be part of a team of Technical Service Engineers to ensure the smooth operation of the Signals Reconnaissance development network to include the Ground Control Processor (GCP), Multi-Source Correlation System (MSCS) Rapid Information System (RIM) and other associated systems assigned to our program. At times, the candidate will be expected to travel as part of an installation team to install and/or upgrade these systems worldwide. The ability to lift & move heavy equipment is needed. Must be willing and able to work any shift as necessary. Tasks can cover all phases of development, operations and maintenance cycle, including systems analysis, test, troubleshooting, integration, installation, system debug, and maintenance of systems, hardware and peripherals. Candidate may be called upon to assist in the design of system upgrades and development of new projects. May need to identify hardware requirements and recommend suitable equipment for system upgrades and new projects. The position requires both short and long term Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments for possible world-wide deployments. Employee may be called upon to work off hours. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Basic Qualifications
• Recent working knowledge with Sun/Oracle computer hardware
• System hardware & system troubleshooting skills
• Self-starter, able to initiate work requests
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Operations and Maintenance Experience
• Understanding of engineering mechanical & electrical drawings
• Must be able to lift and carry 35 lbs

Desired skills
• UNIX Experience (Solaris 10 or newer)
• SPARC and x86 Architecture Knowledge
• GCP systems troubleshooting & maintenance experience
• MSCS/RIM systems troubleshooting & maintenance experience
• S&W systems troubleshooting & maintenance experience
• Must work both collaboratively and independently
• Active A+ Certification
• Active Security+ Certification
• Linux Experience (RHEL Preferable)
• Windows XP/7 Experience
• Remedy User Experience
• Excellent written communication skills
