Lockheed Martin is seeking a System Security Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to design, implement and deploy state of the art security architectures and countermeasures to protect and enable innovative new Lockheed Martin products
Typical duties would include:
Balance security, compliance, performance, power and cost for a diverse portfolio of embedded devices

Evaluate the security of new product designs and analyze vulnerabilities and threats

Prototype and test countermeasures that defend against cyber-attacks

Embed yourself amongst Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Systems Engineers to define and integrate security measures into a wide range of high integrity, safety-critical products


Basic Qualifications
Design of embedded systems written primarily in C/C++

Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded hardware

Familiarity and design experience through the DoD systems lifecycle

Hands-on experience implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) and development of required artifacts

Must have a Secret clearance

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering

Desired skills
Strong electrical engineering background, including both analog and digital domains

Familiar with the embedded microprocessor design process as how it relates to software assurance: compilers, debuggers, IDE and source code control

Good understanding of security protocol design and analysis, firmware and embedded OS design principles

Experience with secure ccoding and software assurance practices

Penetration testing experience including use of tools such as those found in Kali Linux, Backtrack or equivalent

Deep understanding of OSI layers and associated protocols

Professional software development experience in C, C++, and Python

Linux systems administration experience including STIG hardening and compliance checks

Software and firmware reverse engineering experience

Extensive knowledge of at least one of: secure boot implementations, cryptographic key management, state of the art cryptographic architectures for power-limited solutions

Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: defeating physical anti-tamper mechanisms, performing and defending against side-channel and fault-injection attacks, and/or reverse-engineering and exploitation of embedded systems hardware and protocols, and cyber security
