This systems engineer will perform definition, development, and decomposition of hardware design, analysis, and test requirements on the Orion Program. Creates and manages requirements specifications. Reviews and approves drawings. Establishes verification plans, creates verification success criteria, and reviews analyses and tests in support of hardware integration and verification. Coordinates design requirements across engineering disciplines and supports spacecraft assembly, integration, and test operations. Heavily engaged with hardware engineers (CPEs), other specialty engineering disciplines, and the NASA customer. Experience in spacecraft systems engineering is desired

Basic Qualifications
• Systems Engineering practitioner who has performed requirements analysis, interface definition, and verification planning
• Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to elicit, decompose, and manage requirements
• Ability to comprehend systems from end-to-end and envision the system's interaction with other systems
• Assist with project planning and schedule milestone development
• Effective, proven communications and presentations skills; Demonstrated pro-activeness and problem solving skills

Desired skills
• Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Human space flight experience
• Requirements database (DOORS, Cradle) skills
• Understanding of change management
• Lean 6 Sigma practitioner
