Job Details

Provide Test Engineering support all areas of the FBM program operations at Eastern Range (ER) test facilities.
Perform and maintain Certified Test Conductor status
Primary duties will include senior level Systems Integration and Test Engineering with FBM RBA, Missile, and Ground Support Handling Equipment from the requirements, design, test and operational viewpoints. Responsibilities include establishing design/test criteria, critiquing developing designs, development phase testing and evaluations, buy-off of production hardware, maintenance of existing hardware, modification of existing hardware via TAD/PAD/SPALT/NWRO, developing and revising tactical procedures, developing and fabricating test unique hardware, directing routine and special tests, performing manufacturing engineering tasks, and working with advanced lines of business.
Others duties include providing strategic and tactical expertise for the test and integration of ER FBM test organization within ER and across LM FBM organizations (F&BO, TDIS, SEIT and design organizations) in addition to interfacing with the Navy Customer for training, test and proposals
This position requires at least 9 years of professional experience, or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. The majority of experience (7+ years) should include system-level testing

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education

Desired skills
Must have system-level test experience
Previous FBM background
Understand the role and responsibilities of Unsatisfactory Report Board (URB).
Knowledge of Special Weapons Ordnance Procedures (SWOP) proofing and management.
Thorough knowledge of Reentry Body (RB) hardware.
Thorough knowledge of Missile and RBA Systems Support Equipment and H-Gear.
Thorough understanding of Missile and RBA operational flow at the SWFs and ER
Thoroughly familiar with NWRM requirements and the handling of NWRM materials.
Familiar with Eastern Range proofing operations and utilization of Automated Framework System
Considered an emerging authority
