Job Details

Manage the GPS III System Architecture & Analysis organization to assess evolving mission requirements, to analyze system engineering architectural trades based upon system performance analyses and non-technical programmatic benefits/impacts. Manage program technical review campaigns. Scope spans the entire program lifecycle - including pre-proposal, proposal, development, integration, test and operations. Provide oversight of the associated earned value control accounts. Conduct briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Manage the development and performance assessments of five engineers. Responsible for all personnel decisions of this organization. Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect organizational performance. Recommends modifications to operating policies

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Mathematics or Physics
• Minimum of 12 years of demonstrated experience in engineering with increasing levels of responsibility
• Satellite Systems Engineering test or verification experience
• Control Account Management and Earned Value Management experience
• Leadership skills and behaviors that align with Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
• Demonstrated performance in leading high-performance teams to meet program commitments
• Must have demonstrated successful team/relationship building skills across multiple organizational boundaries

Desired skills
• Demonstrated ability to interface and communicate with customers, peers and leadership
• Experience in technical problem resolution
• Experience mentoring
• GPS/A2100 satellite engineering, integration and test experience
• Experience with DOORS (requirements database)
• Systems Engineering requirements and design development experience
