This position will serve as a System Engineering Lead within the Lockheed Martin MFC division with direct support to the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Global Logistics Support Services (GLSS) contract. At this time, direct support is anticipated for Fixed Wing Aircraft programs but may evolve to encompass support for Rotary Wing Aircraft programs as well. This is a senior position that requires a highly motivated individual with demonstrated exemplary communication and technical skills as well as direct Government Customer interface experience. Multiple concurrent responsibilities will occur often in this position, so being highly organized and having a follow-through mindset is critical to being successful in this role

This role will be expected to perform the following duties for the SOF GLSS contract:
• Develop and manage a matrixed Systems Engineering architecture team through mentoring existing staff and supporting hiring efforts
• Oversee several software and hardware subcontractors with the development of aircraft mission systems: Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and, Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Certifications
• Primary responsibility for the design and development of system architectures for military aircraft platforms
• Serve as the focal point for the development and communication of system architectures
• Support engineering proposal development
• Support both internal and external System Design Reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
• Provide significant technical interface support to the SOF GLSS Engineering Director as well as senior customer personnel
• Demonstrate technical agility through not only maintaining the architectural integrity of current SOF GLSS programs but also influencing the strategic technical direction of the Lockheed Martin MFC division as required
• Support on-aircraft surveys as required to support technical design solution development
• This position will require travel to several locations

Lockheed Martin primarily supports the SOF GLSS contract with offices in Lexington, Kentucky, which is where this position will be based. Lexington is centrally located to the eastern US and is home to Bluegrass Airport which has nonstop service to many large metropolitan areas including Chicago, Orlando, Dallas, and Atlanta

Basic Qualifications
Accredited BS in Engineering
Experience with cybersecurity and information assurance certification of hardware and software
Superior communication skills (both verbal and written)
Strong leader with the ability to lead diverse and matrixed teams
Significant experience with the design and development of complex design architectures
Experience leading and working with subcontractors and the military customer
Ability to travel when required
Ability to perform (or participate in) on-aircraft surveys

Desired skills
Experience with the design and integration of systems onto military aircraft (C-130 platform)
Experience interfacing with the Air Force customer
Active Secret Clearance
