Job Details

The successful candidate will join the Payload Launch Site Support and Services Engineering (PLSSS) program and work with a team responsible for the operational status, troubleshooting, modification, and sustainment of industrial facilities and systems. This position will support the Enterprise Lead for Reliability and Maintenance in order to aid in the further development of the Preventive Maintenance/Asset Management Program. Responsibilities will include collecting and charting data utilizing test equipment, supporting Root Cause Analysis activities, supporting Reliability-Centered Maintenance analyses, supporting development of data-based metrics to optimize equipment up-time and supporting reviews of new engineering designs and modifications in order to improve overall equipment reliability

Ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance required for this role
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications
Actively enrolled in a Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree program

Desired skills
Technical skill areas include: Project Management, Statistical Methods, and Engineering Calculations
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong spreadsheet and database skills (MS Excel, MS Access)
An aptitude for problem solving; strong writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
An understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and
engineering analysis
Basic understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance
Demonstrated ability to work within teams
A strong record of team, project and/or people leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities
Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for Reliability and Mechanical Engineering
Familiarity with Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Familiarity with Reliability-Centered Maintenance concepts and processes
Familiarity with Predictive Maintenance tools and techniques
