Specific Description:
Seeking thought leader to drive the creation, impact and sustainment of the Systems Engineering Organization. Shape the future by leading a collaborative consortium of integrators, requirements verification, mission operations engineers and system architects focused on designing, developing, integrating and delivering flight spacecraft and missile systems across Space Systems Company. Your team will expand the portfolio by delivering cutting edge technology and products serving new mission capabilities for the global marketplace and advancing systems design, integration and testing efforts in the digital environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Pioneer the development of a world class Systems Engineering Organization to include:
o Create an innovative environment consisting of concepts, architecture, design, analysis, parametric risk analysis, mission analysis and operations, subsystem and large system integration
o Architect and deliver affordable mission enabling capabilities raising the bar within the industry
o Provide organizational drive focused on leveraging business synergy to achieve a lower internal product cost structure and maximize efficiency
o Technical, schedule and cost project management of critical System Engineering efforts through all of the product lifecycle from concept development to delivery.
o Leverage the digital tapestry and phenomenology in conceptual design through production
o Analysis of hardware with proper consideration of the environments and mission requirements with the incorporation of lessons learned with emphasis on producibility, performance, and quality.
o Conduct Engineering performance assessments, and reviews to assure the integrity of organization, meet annual budget and the related spend-plan that meets Engineering requirements.
o Review and approve the selection of tools, designs, recommendations and associated technology development
o Provide an interface and collaboration with the Advance Technology Center and Operations to coordinate and implement new product development, productivity improvement and horizontal integration.
o Implement and lead technical knowledge management to develop and maintain core competencies, key technical skills, knowledge continuity and facilitate career advancement opportunities to employees

• Identify and integrate Systems Engineering technical concepts, technology, mission assessments, space and ground solutions into a cohesive and competitive approach for SSC.
• Support technology and mission analysis investment assessments and ensuring integration into technology roadmaps.
• Enable usage of common product designs across multiple applications in SSC, thereby strengthening designs and facilitating knowledge sharing of successful past work performed with the LOBs, suppliers and other LM companies
• Maintain technical integrity of the LOB/Program design baselines, incorporation of best practices, and optimum technical design.
• Demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership through leading and scaling the Space Systems Company organization.
• Work collaboratively with the LOB/Program Executives and leadership to:
o Identify and propagate design technology selection and best-practices
o Ensure technical domain expertise of the entire team, drive process and tool development and deployment,
o Oversight and collaboration with program Chief Systems Engineers
o Resolve critical technical issues, support new business initiatives
o Ensure standard technical processes are in use on programs
o Manage staffing requirements and sustain engineering capabilities and preserve critical skills
o Support IRAD and CRAD investment strategy and strategic development
o Support proposals as required, Red Teams and INARs

Basic Qualifications
• Must have 10 years of recent coded Full Spectrum Leadership with proven experience leading employees to perform productively and foster relationships in a cross-functional team environment
• 12 years of technical experience with demonstrated expertise in Systems Engineering development, analysis integration and mission operations
• 5 years demonstrated expertise in Systems Engineering disciplines
• Experience managing technical, schedule and cost for a program or product
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written with the proven ability to communicate to all levels internally and externally.
• Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex and large scale technical issues/challenges
• Demonstrated experience in developing technical talent and building pipelines to sustain technical expertise within the organization
• Related Engineering degree is required
• Must have the ability to obtain SCI and Top Secret clearance levels
