A Systems Integration and Test Engineer is needed to lead an IPT conducting a major airborne missile platform integration and weapon release/launch program. The IPT Lead will be responsible for developing all missile integration and test requirements, requirements flow down and analysis using DOORs, and overall conduct of the system integration and test. The IPT Lead will be responsible for generation and submission of program associated systems engineering documentation including SEMP, TEPPs, PDP, Technology Readiness Assessments, TPMs, Systems Metrics, requirements Verification and Validation plans and procedures, SRR, PDR, CDR, etc. In addition, the Integration and Test IPT Lead is responsible for all airworthiness activities of the missile on multiple airborne platforms, which includes reviewing Government test plan/procedures, reviewing/approving airworthiness requirements, and supporting the Government led systems Qualification Test activities (i.e. Environmental, EMI/EMC, WIL/AIL, Ground Shots, Captive Carries, and Live Firings).

The position will also require daily interaction with various Government personnel including members of the Government Program Office. The position requires frequent interface with other program IPTs. Other duties include collaboration on staffing decisions; schedules and budgets as a CAM; coordination of technical issue resolution with the Chief Engineer, and weekly monitoring of tasks. Candidate must have proven experience with system level testing, verification, and integration of complex software and hardware systems

A Systems Integration Engineer verifies that testable hardware and software modules can be assembled and connected in a manner that achieves the overall system's physical, functional and performance requirements objectives. This responsibility applies to both newly designed developmental items and mature hardware coming off the assembly line. The design verification process is performed to a well- constructed Integration and Test plan derived from requirements generated in DOORS and associated ICD's which validates built-in system performance from the lowest level modules to the final assembled system.

Systems Integration Engineers must operate comfortably with all engineering disciplines including software engineers, designers, and production personnel. Interface with suppliers of modules and critical hardware vendors is an important associated activity. The ability to troubleshoot problems and coordinating other system integration participants is of great value in performing these duties. Broad system knowledge including an understanding of the subsystem hardware and software capabilities in servo control, sensor capabilities, emitter capability and permissions for use, intended application, and safety related issues are very important. Customer presentations including performance results and schedule status

A valuable capability for a Systems Integration Engineer is the ability to manage security issues including protection of classified hardware and software, software loading requirements and capabilities, and use and management of associated test equipment


Basic Qualifications
Experience with DOORS is of significant benefit. Experience with airborne platform integration is a definite advantage. Experience with Safety-of-Flight issues is an asset. Strong leadership skills are highly desirable
