Job Details

The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program is looking for it's next enthusiastic and motivated Systems Engineer. This individual will work in a team environment performing systems test/integration tasks in support of the THAAD System Integration Laboratory (SIL)

Tasks include:
-Work with SIL Certified Principle Engineer (CPE) to complete design for integration of the JEONS equipment into the SIL Environment

-Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems

-Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

-Supporting the SIL's Certified Principle Engineers (CPEs) and Engineering Team

-Performing/consolidating data analysis products

-Electronics engineering design and software development

-Work on integration issues involving the development of future system capability

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance

Experience working with:
- Verifying and/or interpreting requirements
- MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Desired skills
- Windows and Unix/Linux proficiency
- Familiarity with the THAAD weapon system
- Certified Test Conductor (CTC) or similar responsibility experience which would enable the candidate to become a CTC
- Experience developing system engineering documentation, including requirements, test plans, test procedures, and user manuals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral & written) skills with ability to multi-task and work closely within a dynamic team environment
- Demonstrated ability to break through barriers to get to root cause of issues in a timely fashion and drive them to closure
- Self-starter with ability to work independently to perform research necessary to solve system level issues
- Experience in leadership roles, with demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction while maintaining accountability and execution on assigned tasking
- Demonstrated ability to effectively convey technical information to peers/customers/management
- Knowledge in any of the following areas; aerospace engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, radar, fire control systems,
aerodynamics, trajectory analysis, interface data analysis
- Active Secret clearance
