Job Description - Engineering Proposal Analyst in the Engineering Estimating Group located in the Proposal Center and US Government Business Office. Responsible for the initiation, development, preparation, analysis, and quality of Engineering Cost Estimates in support of various Platforms, including U.S. Government Proposals, Foreign Gov't Proposals, Commercial Proposals, CR&D Proposals, and Single and Multi-year U. S. Government Sustaining Procurements. Good communication and data analysis skills are essential. Ability to develop and coordinate the assembly and validation of estimating models and tools with Engineering Team Leads, Program Managers, Functional engineers, Finance Pricing Analysts and other department personnel. Ability to work as a team member on a joint Sikorsky and US government team focused on the development of improved estimating tools and methodologies

Perform the initiation, development, preparation, analysis, and quality check for Engineering Cost Estimates for proposals
Audit estimates to ensure they meet the necessary DFARS compliance for US Government proposals
Train functional estimators on internal and DFARS requirements for Basis of Estimate composition
Possess a working knowledge of Engineering's BOEDB/project map estimating suite.
Ability to navigate through Sikorsky’s COS and SAP to research contract actuals.
Working knowledge of Engineering's AEM proposal origination process

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 8 to 10 years related estimating experience

Desired skills
Good communication and data analysis skills are essential. Ability to develop and coordinate the assembly and validation of estimating models and tools
some level of management experience preferred
Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access and SAP
