This position is for a reliability, maintainability, and availability (RMA) engineer with expertise in developing and optimizing RMA approaches for System of systems, systems, subsystems and components. Specific tasks include:
• RMA experience with ability to influence the complete life cycle; CONOPs, design, development, verification test, and sustainment based on program requirements by resolving complex RMA technical issues using analysis, data, industry practices, and academic research
• Lead RMA teams through major design milestones including development of optimized RMA solutions and presenting results to key stakeholders
• Ability to evaluate impact of environmental and operational factors directly related to RMA approach, analysis, and testing
• Perform trade studies to optimize RMA performance, and total ownership cost
• Allocate, Predict and document reliability, maintainability and availability requirements and analysis including the application of Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Fault Tree Analysis techniques to drive and refine the design
• Ability to plan and perform reliability testing and utilize reliability growth models as part of an overall reliability program
• Implementation of Failure Reporting And Corrective Actions Systems (FRACAS) process and interpreting statistical data derived from failure data to determine root cause and corrective actions to eliminate failure mode
• Integration of reliability, maintainability, and availability including Testability/Diagnostics with sustainment programs e.g Performance Based Logistics (PBL)

The Locale: Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse New York. Owego sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University and Cornell University. Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia are all within a few hours’ drive from Owego. Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of experience and proven superior performance in RMA engineering
• Extensive experience in customer interfacing and a subject matter expert in RMA.
• Application of RMA disciplines as part of an overall systems engineering effort, with specific focus on how RMA tasks support and influence all aspects of the system lifecycle
• Very strong written and verbal presentation skills
• RMA experience in a diversity of sophisticated complex electrical and mechanical (hardware) systems
• RMA experience in software intensive systems (preferred)
• Background in reliability maintainability calculations in accordance with industry standards (MIL-HDBK-217, Bellcore/Telecordia, etc…)
• System level diagnostics experience (especially Initial BIT Assessment and Maintainability Demonstration knowledge) preferred

Desired skills
• Prior product test, environmental test or reliability testing or manufacturing engineering involvement
• Proficient with Microsoft office suite, specifically, Excel and Access or other database
