This position Is located in Denver and supports the Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program. This System Engineer Sr. position supports the overall Weapons Systems Engineering Integration and Test (WSEIT) Team by executing
all Nuclear Hardness and Survivability Analysis and Reporting activities. The selected candidate will generate the Nuclear Hardness and Survivability Program Plan, which defines the nuclear environment and its impact on GBSD items and components and perform NH&S Analysis which will prove survivability of electronic components in the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) as well as the Launch Control Centers (LCCs) and Launch Facilities (LFs) for both heritage and new hardware. Additionally the Weapons System Spec requirements will be evaluated and used to derive effective environments within the ground infrastructure and at electronic components. This effort includes Parts and Mechanical component analyses to verify the survivability and operational reliability. Support to the System life cycle reviews (SRR, SFR, 9QTIM and PDR) will be required. This position will start in November of 2017, and is contingent upon the GBSD TMRR award in September of 2017

Basic Qualifications
-Experience in the Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) analysis, requirements and testing of strategic systems
-Understanding of weapons Systems parts
- Experience with the analytical tools and methods for predicting and validating performance in strategic environments

Desired skills
- Experience with US Air Force Weapon Systems Programs
- Experience with US Strategic Systems
- Experience with Missile Weapons Systems
• Experience working on integrated product team, interacting with other engineering disciplines, technicians, subcontractors, and customer.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly techniques & processes
• Experience in training and leading junior NH&S engineers in analysis, control, verification and database methods
• Supervising NH&S properties functions, determining tasks priorities and scheduling work, working with integrated product teams and interacting with engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and customers. Interface with senior program and customer management including advising on critical technical issues and their relationship to technical and programmatic performance
• An understanding of statistical methods of combining error sources, assessing confidence levels, and general descriptive statistics
• Self directed, able to multitask, strive for customer satisfaction
• Experience with Mathcad and or Matlab
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)
