Job Details

Systems Engineer will work with United Launch Alliance in Denver, Co under the direction of the Launch Systems Integration Team Lead in Sunnyvale, CA. as part of a team on a current Launch Integration Activity. They will be responsible for providing overall systems level program support during the Integration through Launch portion of the program, with particular focus in the following 3 areas:

1. Lead the definition, documentation, implementation and verification of all program requirements through Launch. They will be responsible to develop a matrix and maintain the status of all program requirements through verification cycle, and will be required to assure that all necessary working groups develop and verify requirement using the same goals and methodology. In addition they will be responsible to assure that any requirements issue is identified and resolved prior to an impact to either the launch cycle cost or schedule

2. They will be required to act as the primary interface to the Launch Vehicle Contractor for the LSI Team. This requires development of a working relationship with the LVC to assure that any program issues or concerns with the Launch Vehicle are identified and resolved prior to potential impact to the Launch Cycle

3. They will be the program lead in the Day of Launch activities. This will include chairmanship of the Day Of Launch working group. They will develop processes and procedures that assure all organizations supporting Day of Launch activities are cognizant of their roles and responsibilities, and will play a major part in Launch Rehearsal activities

Basic Qualifications
-Minimum 9 years of Mission Integration work experience
-Prior experience with both Launch Vehicle and SV Mission Cycles.
-Prior experience working remotely with subcontractors.
-Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
-Excellent interpersonal skills, including experience conveying complex ideas to senior management and high level customers.
-Demonstrated leadership of technical teams with an emphasis on creative solutions to difficult problems and obstacles in a time and cost-constrained environment.
-Current TS or SCI clearance or current extended background investigation (within last 5 years)
-Must be willing to travel

Desired skills
Familiar with the ULA verification processes.
Mission Integration skills.
Launch cycle experience.
Experience working with Launch Vehicle Contractors, Launch site personnel and a large number of other groups supporting integration and launch activities
