MITREs Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Portfolio focuses on systems engineering, systems acquisition, systems verification and fielding, technology assessment, and the enabling sensor, communications, and information technologies. Join us and become a key contributor to resolve some of the most challenging problems of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).


 


Description:



Join MITREs Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Portfolio and deliver engineering solutions to address challenging technical problems via our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Sensors AN/TPY-2 Development Product Office team.  As a Radar/Systems engineer, you will leverage your expertise to perform radar systems engineering, technical performance assessments, requirements development and verification activities, and model and simulation development engineering.















Required Qualifications:


 


The ideal candidate will have proven experience in:




  • Technical knowledge of systems engineering principles and the ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to colleagues, customers, and senior leaders



  • Foundational understanding of radar fundamentals



  • Systems Engineering degree or a degree in a relevant technical field



  • Analytical, decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills



  • Excellent communication skills



  • Obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance which will require US citizenship


 


Preferred Qualifications:


 



  • Previous experience with BMDS radar projects



  • Radar modeling and simulation and/or performance analysis experience is a plus
