Job Details

This position reports to the Manager of Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Engineering on the F-35 program. The successful candidate will be assigned to Hill AFB, Utah working independently with minor direction from Manager. Assignments are often self-initiated and candidate determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and guiding the R&M Field Operation Program (Reliability Maintainability Review Board) at Hill AFB to ensure a disciplined, controlled, and credible approach is followed during R&M assessments. Schedule and coordinate the R&M activities as well as represent R&M with the site Director and squadron / wing leadership. Conduct the Reliability Maintainability Review Boards at Hill AFB as Co-chairman and act as advisor to wing management on R&M topics of interest. Primary spokesperson for HILL AFB LRIP aircraft on all Reliability & Maintainability matters. Work with government personnel in the review and categorization of all maintenance data associated with LRIP aircraft in support of Joint Reliability Maintainability Evaluation Team / Test Data Scoring Board (JRMET/TDSB) in accordance with the JRMET/TDSB Charter to assess the R&M performance of the aircraft. Support JRMET/TDSB and RMRB boards as required on R&M matters for LRIP aircraft assigned to Hill AFB (including Flight Hour capture). Evaluate and document deficiencies that impact the R&M performance of LRIP aircraft and participate in the evaluation of corrective action to determine the effectiveness of the fix. Be the primary R&M spokesperson for addressing Hill AFB DEPOT associated inquiries for processing FRACAS data
-Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications
-Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a technical degree
-Experience with reliability fundamentals and reliability analysis and root cause analysis
-Experience with technical writing for the preparation of plans, and reports
-Experience with engineering analytics and complex technical problem solving

Desired skills
Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with engineers and maintainers

Experience managing large sets of data using tools such as JSF FRACAS, CMMS, JDL, and/or Excel are highly desired

Knowledge of processes to independently perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy and quick delivery
