Perform as the Trident Navigation SWS SSBN Fleet Support SSP customer liaison systems engineer in the SSP Washington, DC location. This includes knowledge of contracts, budgets and proposals; certified in Earned Value Management. Work closely with the Mitchel Field fleet support team to ensure the Navigation Vision goals, fleet support objectives and and all SSBN support activities are being pursued and achieved and communicated with our USN customer

Basic Qualifications
Experience working with Trident SSBN Strategic Weapons System, with focus on Navigation subsystem equipment. Experience with system test engineering and the ability to accomplish complex tasks and evaluate complex systems. Strong communication skills with the ability to cultivate a viable working relationship with Mitchel Field Engineering, Field Engineering and most important with our SP 24 USN customer. Government contract experience and familiarization

Desired skills
Ability to develop and maintain a strong contractor/customer relationship; excellent communication and interpersonal skills highly desirable. Ability to travel and support fluid and dynamic task coordination focused on customer commitments. EVM certification and familiarity with DoD government contract activities. Experience with all SSBN submarine D5 Backfit operations (Refit sites, Training facilities, Shipyard repair periods, electronic equipment maintenance and repair). Familiarity with Trident Navigation specifications and requriements, SSBN and ship equipment installations and current and future SSI navigation subsystem integrations. Experience in NAVSEA and Strategic Systems Prgrams organizations and processes, T9001 requirements. Experience with logistics, test equipment and data evaluation

Will travel 10%
