Job Details

The Configuration Management analyst will be assigned to a specific aircraft program and will be responsible for oversight of the change management process and the systematic review and release of engineering product definition data and documents. He/she will report to the Configuration Management Lead for program specific tasks and compliance to CM processes and procedures.

Specific areas of responsibility/oversight include:

Work with design personnel to provide task specific guidance in the areas of Bill of Material (BOM) development, product definition documentation selection/use and configuration change control.

Support supplier change control and document vaulting activities.

Co-chair/manage Configuration Control Boards.

Participate in technical review of proposed design changes and provide feedback to design and system engineering personnel.

Review engineering documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures and customer SOW requirements for documentation and change control

Monitor/perform BOM effectivity transactions to ensure accuracy of BOM requirements.

Perform configuration status accounting by maintaining computer mainframe and PC based databases for document status.

Work closely with program and engineering management to provide full visibility of work in process and released data

Develop and maintain CM plans, processes, procedures, program directions / instructions, and contract data deliverable items.

Program support for IUID/CDL’s/DCMA Audits

The MBOM Analyst will support assigned programs.

Specific areas of responsibility/oversight include:

Validate the engineering release of EC’s prior to implementation on the MBOM. Ensure the MBOM is updated and accurate for all models. Complete all model and effectivity updates and create new manufacturing part numbers where needed to eliminate any potential model charting. Perform MBOM updates per shop request VIA MECO’s. This enables design to remain stable for the technical publications and allow for a lean factory build

Assist design with the proper creation of new models to best suit the build requirements. Build can be either two part sale, A and B paper, full up bill or Build to order (BTO)

Assist with Quality audits to ensure the MMAS DFAR requirements are met from downstream departments and with all tiers of supplier parts
Manage the E vs M accuracy reporting to the MMAS board and government to ensure progress payments are not affected
Represent Engineering as their representative and all meetings for MMAS

Work with Process Engineers to ensure PCAS correctly identifies to the change board activity required to implement change

Other duties will be assigned as required

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education,

Knowledge of configuration of aircraft and tooling required. Process Engineering experience a must. Must be able to work with limited, direct guidance or direction from others
