Job Details

Senior Control systems engineer is needed to design precision gimbal stabilization and control for airborne electro-optic (EO) sensor systems. The engineer will develop and model closed loop control and gimbal mechanics for a new sensor system. The engineer will be required to define control system architecture and evaluate design concepts for required performance capabilities

Basic Qualifications
Servo and Stabilization engineers must have experience with feedback controls, gimbal stabilization, and inertial sensors such as gyros, accelerometers and IMUs.
These engineers must have design experience and hands-on hardware testing experience.
They must have experience modelling 3D dynamic systems in MATLAB/Simulink or a similar simulation environment.
Experience is also required with digital and analog electronics such as drive amplifiers, motors, ADC, position resolvers, etc.
Must be considered an emerging authority in servo controls and gimbal stabilization

Interim Security Clearance is required prior to start

Desired skills
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink is highly desired. An understanding of optimal estimation in applications such as target tracking, navigation and transfer alignment is also a plus
