The S8.2 Spiral Lead will be responsible for the technical, cost, and schedule execution of the S8.2 Spiral activities for the C2BMC I&T Functional Area. The S8.2 Spiral Lead will be chiefly responsible for representing the I&T Functional Area at informal and formal design and customer reviews. The S8.2 Spiral Lead will report to the I&T Functional Area Manager and be responsible for coordinating with I&T Sub Functional Leads to ensure resources are appropriately allocated and deconflicted to conduct all Cycle 1 through Cycle 5 testing activities including early preparation activities. The S8.2 Spiral Lead will be responsible for: coordinating with the Systems Engineering Functional Area to identify hardware and software architecture changes and requirements for the spiral, obtain Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) and PCB metrics, communicate testability assessments, provide ES-SCI, TPM, and SMR verification status, and receive impact assessments on anomalies and failures; coordinating with the DEV Functional Area on cycle release content and any assistance on SMR verification; coordinating with the NETWORK and Cyber Functional Areas on ES-SCI, TPM, and SMR verification; provide spiral content, architecture, and schedule information to the MDIOC BMDSS for lab build-out planning and implementation; coordinate with the I&T Capability Verification and Assessment Lead and Test Events Lead on the allocation of ES-SCI requirements, TPMs, SMRs, and Regressions tests across test cycles; communicate spiral schedules within the I&T Sub Functions; report verification test progress weekly to the National Team customers, PMO, Release Managers, other Functional Areas, and I&T management. Performance of the above duties will occur at the MDIOC, Schriever AFB location with 10-15% travel to other MDA sites

Basic Qualifications
Leadership experience in managing complex technical development efforts with extensive customer oversight. Candidate experience must include: proven cost, schedule, and technical management experience ideally in a spiral development lifecycle; excellent communication (written and verbal) of technical data to program and customer level audiences; demonstrated multi-tasking ability to meet planned and unplanned C2BMC program and I&T leadership commitments; process improvement skills with ability to analyze problems, determine root causes, and implement a corrective action plan; teamwork skills to reach successful desired objectives through effective intra and inter Functional Area collaboration; ability to analyze complex problems, reach concrete conclusions, and develop and communicate effective recovery options and/or resolutions.
The candidate must possess the technical and managerial skills to lead the software spiral for Integration and Test (I&T) of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC). The candidate must be able to lead a diverse I&T team in the execution of Cycle 1 through Cycle 5 test objectives. The candidate must possess strong leadership, interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills enabling him/her to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, and to accurately represent test perspectives to other C2BMC Functional Areas, the MDA customer, and personnel in other MDA programs. The candidate must possess strong Earned Value Management expertise. Experience in RTE or MSProject is desirable

Desired skills
Ideal candidate should have experience with BMDS elements or components, to include operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot), and developmental systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD), in either a test or operational environment
