Performs technical management, planning (Cost/Schedule), risk management, resource deployment/alignment, staffing for the FBM Deployed Reentry Systems / SP27 Reentry Production / Reentry Special Programs organization within the FBM Reentry Systems Directorate. Provides overall leadership to subordinate project leaders and other employees within the FBM Deployed Reentry Systems / SP27 Reentry Production / Reentry Special Programs organization. Primary leadership responsibilities of this organization includes: A) FBM United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) Deployed Reentry Systems including Mk4, Mk4A and Mk5 Reentry Body Assembly (RBA)Program and Hardware Engineering, Program planning, SWOP Group, UR Board Management, Surveillance, Nuclear Surety / Safety and LM Project Officer Group (POG) and LM US/UK Joint Reentry Systems Working Group (JRSWG) Representatives; B) Reentry Mk4, Mk4A and Mk5 RBA DoD Tactical Production including supplier subcontract management and associated planning / logistics; C) Reentry Special Projects. The Sr. Manager will report directly to the Director of FBM Systems Engineering and will be deployed to the Director of FBM Reentry Systems. Portions of the organization will be located at the Eastern Range at Cape Canaveral along with the core group that is located in Sunnyvale, CA. D) Successful implementation of FBM reshaping, in particular relocation of FBM Deployed Reentry Systems and SP27 Reentry production support to FL in the 2019-2023 timeframe. This position is part of the FBM Reshaping effort and will relocate to Florida

*Must have an active Top Secret or higher Clearance to be considered for this role
*This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications
*Technical Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college

*The candidate must have minimum of 2 years demonstrated engineering leadership experience, 5 years of experience in the application of System Engineering processes and disciplines, and demonstrated experience in leading a Systems Engineering team.

*The candidate must have experience planning and implementing deployed system elements and effectively assigning and managing daily, weekly and monthly team actions and tasks

*The candidate must have experience effectively communicating, both internally with peers, Program leadership and externally with customer counterparts.

*The candidate must have demonstrated experience planning, proposing, and managing budgets and schedules.

*Must have an active Top Secret or higher Clearance to be considered for this role

*This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Desired skills
*It is desired that the candidate has demonstrated knowledge of the FBM Reentry program and Trident II (D5) Missile System

* It is desired that the candidate have familiarity with the Navy / NNSA tactical Reentry Body development / deployment / Navy fleet support processes

*It is desired the candidate is familiar with the Navy SSP Reentry and Missile customers

*It is desired the candidate has demonstrated experience leading / being involved with a large problem investigation and root cause analysis effort

*It is desired the candidate is CAM (Cost Account Manager) certified and has experience with leading proposal activities

*The candidate must be able to multitask effectively and support ongoing technical investigations and initiatives simultaneously.

*The candidate must be able to motivate and energize a team.

*The candidate must demonstrate the Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives

*The candidate must have experience in change management, preferably in successful personnel relocation
