This is an opportunity to work on the Labs and Tech Services (L&TS) System Engineering team. L&TS a highly innovative team responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L&TS resides an extensive collection of systems integration and test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, Reprogramming Laboratories, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues.

This position is for a Systems Engineering Senior position assigned to the Lab Enterprise team responsible for the design and development of laboratory network architectures with an emphasis on JSIG compliance and information assurance. The primary set of responsibilities for this position include performing requirements management, system design development, system integration, system requirements verification, estimates based on system requirements, system performance validation, and investigating laboratory anomalies. This task includes analyzing system requirements and system designs, analyzing network architecture diagrams, developing network architecture diagrams and performing risk assessment. Responsibilities will included frequent communication with team members and stakeholders

This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires a Secret security clearance, with a current background investigation

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an information technology or network administration-related field
- DoD 8570 IAM Level I Certification (i.e. Security+ or CISSP) or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Experience with network architecture, information assurance and risk assessment
- Experience in performing one or more of the following: system requirements development, system design development, system integration and verification
- Knowledgeable using the following tools: DOORS, Visio, Network Monitoring/Analysis Tools (e.g., WireShark), Network Vulnerability Scanning Tools

Desired skills
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in an information technology or network administration-related field
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Familiarity with network security and JSIG in particular
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong oral written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong work ethic, ability to work with limited supervision, self-motivated
