The general responsibilities of the position include System Engineering duties such as requirements definition, system design and implementation as well as serving as the Information Systems Security Officer(ISSO)/Information Assurance (IA) Officer for the MST Training and Logisitcs Solutions (TLS) site at NAS Ft Worth JRB, Ft Worth Texas. Supports Department F-16 simulator system development programs. System Engineering duties require working in a cross functional team to incorporate all aspects of systems, software, mechanical and electrical engineering into the mission system design. This candidate will work with engineering leads to ensure the program meets all technical requirements. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for hardware/software development. Emphasis is on total system product to include: requirements analysis/planning, systems design, SW/HW design, SW/HW development, system integration/test and installation/maintenance. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into systems and software specifications. Performs functional analysis on simulation training systems as required. Performs a variety of functions associated with the technical, schedule and cost business rhythms including: technical operations, scheduling, metrics collection and analysis, briefing preparation and document review. ISSO/IA responsibilities include ensuring compliance with government security requirements pertaining to computer systems processing classified information. The candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of the Industrial Security Field Operations (ISFO) Process Manual for the Certification and Accreditation of Classified Systems and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM Chapter 8). Candidate must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a fast paced environment; multitask and adapt to changing priorities is essential; and put people into stretch assignments, as necessary, to meet critical customer milestones. The current contract Period of Performance is through February 2016

Security Clearance: Secret

Basic Qualifications
Experience with the following:
- applying Systems Engineering discipline
- supporting Systems Engineering activities on high-fidelity fast-mover flight simulation
- ensuring successful requirements definition, design, development, testing and fielding of a flight simulation system
- familiarity with DIS standards, Distributed Mission Operations, NISPOM and JAFAN security requirements
- ISSO/IAO support to include working with classified Information Systems, authoring security plans and maintaining accreditations
- Windows, Linux, and Unix.
Position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Desired skills
Experience supporting real-time flight simulation software preferably with high fidelity F-16 simulation. Experience and knowledge of software development and implementing software applications that provide user interface with the simulator systems, provide diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities, and maximizes system reliability. Experience with high-speed Network Attached Storage configurations. Experience configuring servers, switches and networking complex systems incorporating multiple virtual and constructive workstations utilizing Citrix Provisioning Server Virtual Disk technology and Windows Server 2008/Server 2003 IAW NISPOM and JAFAN security requirements. Knowledge of other security disciplines and how they impact and interact with information system security. Experience working with engineering teams to meet cost schedule and performance requirements. Demonstrated accomplishments in creating a positive, high energy environment and managing high performance teams to achieve mission success while overcoming obstacles and difficult challenges. Experience with full field of view visual display systems, image generation systems, and database generation and 3d modeling. Demonstrated ability to align and configure visual display systems to include electronic alignments, color balancing, and implementing visual masks. Experience with 3D vehicle and cultural modeling. Ability to optimize visual system settings to minimize visual artifacts. Experience configuring image generation systems to support NVG, IR, and CCD sensor operations. Experience with MetaVR VRSG image generation system is desired. Software programming experience with Visual Studio 2008/2003, Visual C++, C, Visual Basic, VBA, VBScript, OOP, HTML Experience with systems subject to JAFAN 6/3 requirements is desired.
* Understanding of network concepts and Type 1
encryption devices, such as TACLANE
* Knowledge of the Defense Information Systems
Agency (DISA) Security Technical
Implementation Guides (STIGs) and the NSA
configuration standards for DOD systems
* Prior ability to perform self-certification under
NISPOM per DSS
* Knowledge of government/contractor network
interconnectivity arrangements
* SIPRNet experience
* Ability to speak in front of groups of people
* CISSP, Security+ or other DoDD 8570 Information
* Assurance Management Level II or III certification
* Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
