Job Details

The selected individual will work as part of the Systems Engineering team focused on software/hardware integration and information assurance for the lighter-than-air persistent surveillance System Integration Lab (SIL). Responsibilities will include design, development, integration, troubleshooting and analysis of aerostat and airship systems. Candidate will work with a team of systems, hardware, software and specialty engineers and technicians as needed to complete formal documentation of software and hardware installation procedures, upgrade implementation field support, systems security, testing and system accreditation activities

Basic Qualifications
The selected candidate shall have experience and proficiency at the following:

- Experience and comfort communicating verbally and in writing with internal and external customers at various levels of authority and experience
- Solid system engineering skill set including familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle, requirements analysis, configuration management, baseline control, and integrated master schedules
- Understanding of DoD security certification and accreditation processes and supporting documentation required
- Experience with Windows operating system administration (Win7/Win10 and Win2008/2012 servers) in addition to Acronis Backup and Recovery
- Experience in troubleshooting software and networks
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow engineering and assembly drawings, schematics, parts lists and wiring lists
- Excellent problem solving skill set
- Willing to provide support to fielded systems 24/7
- Ability to lead a small diverse team of engineers and technicians
- Willing to support minimal domestic travel – less than 10%
- Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of start of position

Desired skills
- Experience in network administration and network security architectures including ability to read and develop network configuration files for switches and routers, ability to configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems and familiar with common network analysis and assessment tools
- Experience with supporting compliance to Secure Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) documents, DoD 800.53 and ICD 503 specifications
- Experience in software development and software development lifecycle
- Experience with DOORS
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with ClearCase
- Experience in applying security principles and configuring security settings
- Experience in PTDS/PSS-T Large ground systems and operational software and sensors
- Control Account Manager (CAM) certified
