An experienced Servo and Stabilization Engineer is required to design precision gimbal stabilization and controls for an airborne electro-optic (EO) sensor system. The Servo Engineer will develop a model of the closed loop control and gimbal mechanics for the new sensor system. The servo and stabilization control architecture will be defined and design concepts will be evaluated for performance. Significant experience modelling 3D dynamic systems in MATLAB/Simulink or similar simulation environment is required. Servo system design experience and hands-on hardware testing experience is required. The candidate for this position must have experience with feedback controls, gimbal stabilization and control, inertial sensors such as gyros, accelerometers and IMUs. Experience is also required with digital and analog electronics such as drive amplifiers, motors, ADC, position resolvers, etc

Servo and Stabilization systems engineers are tasked to design precision gimbal control stabilization for airborne electro-optic (EO) sensor systems. Basic Qualifications

Interim or more advanced security clearance is required prior to start

Desired skills
Understanding of optimal estimation in applications such as target tracking, navigation and transfer alignment are also a plus
