Job Details

This position requires 4th or 5th generation fighter pilot experience to provide F-35 Fleet Release support to F-35 production, Initial Operational Test & Evaluation (IOT&E), and USN Initial Operational Capabilities (IOC). Additionally, provide support to Developmental Test, Operational Test, and operational F-35 squadrons as they stand up initial operational capability and the transition from Block 2B/3i to full Block 3F Mission Systems capabilities. Primary responsibilities include:

- Act as the primary mission systems point of contact for aircraft variant and service issues; assist the service program manager with research, engagement, academics, troubleshooting, and employment concerns
- Develop and present capability and system operational briefings; support test plan development, mission planning, and mission analysis efforts
- Provide subject matter expertise support to F-35 labs as requested – support software maturation, mission effectiveness assessments, Test Readiness and Flight Readiness Reviews
- Interface with operational and test squadrons to provide Mission Systems and Vehicle Systems information in a timely manner in support of successful completion of F-35 IOT&E and bringing the USN to IOC
- Supports LRIP with differences briefings for LM and DCMA acceptance pilots as well as differences briefings tailored for each gaining unit
- Supports updates to classified and unclassified flight series data: documents known system controls and displays, installed performance, and limitations
- Support on-going F-35 Follow-on Development activities.

“Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position requires a Final Secret Clearance to start

The selected candidate for this position will travel approximately 50% of the time

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in tactical aircraft employment, operations, missions, and training
- Experience with 5th generation fighter operations, training, and tactics
- Experience briefing operational, training and test personnel and military leaders
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

Possess strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, and communicate and coordinate effectively with team members

Possess a current secret security clearance and F35 Program clearances

Experience in operational or developmental test

Experience with knowledge of F35 mission systems capabilities and pilot vehicle interface

Weapons School/Top Gun or equivalent graduate
