Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program

As a primary member of the Airborne High Energy Laser (HEL) team, candidate will manage technology, platform integration, and demo projects with DoD customers focusing on tactical airborne DE market. Candidate must have demonstrated program management and technical leadership skills as evidenced by exceptional performance metrics and be capable of leading high-performance teams. Candidate must have strong self-motivation with a systems-engineering-based approach for the development of program proposals, planning and execution. Successful candidate will be involved in the management of program cost, schedule, and technical performance. The candidate will be required to pursue new business with the ability to grow and maintain positive customer relationships

Candidate responsibilities will span the program development lifecycle, including generating cost estimates, creating schedules, supporting reviews and reporting to senior leadership. The candidate will be required to develop statements of work, manage subcontractors and ensure program objectives are being met. The candidate is expected to leverage the developments on other platforms and grow the tactical airborne market through the capture of Contracted Research and Development

The selected applicant will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills as the position will require frequent internal interactions with senior leadership, project leads, and engineers, as well as senior customers and their leadership. The ability to travel for team interaction and integration and test activities is required

Must be a US Citizen . This position is located at a facility that requires special access


Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's OR Above Degree in a Engineering Technical Discipline
Experience generating Statements of Work (SOW)
Program or Project Management experience
Experienced with Systems Engineering

Desired skills
Subcontract Management experience
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
Experience with High Energy Laser (HEL) technology and projects
Basic understanding of optics, lasers, heat transfer, beam control/steering in the HEL domain
Good Communication Skills
Team leadership and organizational
Air Platform integration
Pursuit and capture experience with Contract Research and Development
Demonstrated communication skills with both customers and management
Experience with presentations at senior customer levels
Background working with suppliers
Proposal writing experience
Background with system/platform integration (component integration)
