Lockheed Martin is looking for world-class talent in Operations Analysis to join our historic Skunk Works team in Palmdale, CA. The team is seeking a candidate who can develop and use engineering-based techniques, advanced analytical methods, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making and quantify value proposition for advanced concepts and technology applications. We need a candidate who thinks strategically and creatively with proven analytical and engineering problem-solving skills; and thrives in a high-performing team environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills as the position will require frequent interactions and collaboration with leadership, project leads, other team members, engineers in other disciplines, and customers. The ability to travel on occasion is required

The selected candidate will be responsible for modeling and analysis of military systems to quantify the impact of operational concepts, air vehicle design, payloads, and tactics. Candidate will apply constructive simulations and data analytics to derive operational and system requirements, evaluate vehicle survivability and effectiveness, and assess systems of systems concepts and military utility. Responsibilities will include researching military systems performance and operations, modeling military systems and scenarios in digital simulations, developing analytical methods and models to facilitate analyses; designing and executing trade studies; performing data analytics and statistical analysis; and developing effective presentations that succinctly communicate results and findings

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

- Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Above Degree from an accredited college in related engineering discipline

• Scripting/programming experience (Such as MATLAB or Perl/Python)

• Must have an active Secret clearance with a current background investigation and ability to obtain Top Secret and SAR program clearances

Desired skills
• Aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering or applied math/Operations Research degree preferred
• Demonstrated engineering/mathematical/analytical skills to solve complex technical problems
• Experience modeling and analyzing air vehicle, sensor, or weapon performance; specifically missile performance and effectiveness a plus
• Knowledge of surface and airborne military systems, operations, and Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS)
• Knowledge of radar, electronic warfare, or communications systems and operations
• Military operations analysis experience applying discrete or Monte Carlo simulations (ESAMS, RADGUNS, Suppressor, EADSIM, Brawler)
• Familiarity with design of experiments
• Proficiency with C++/JAVA /XML; with experience in software development or integration a plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills; effective presentation skills a plus
• Experience with trade studies, data analysis, and delivering analysis results
• Active Top Secret Clearance preferred
