This position is located in Denver and supports the Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program. This System Engineer principal position supports the overall Weapons Systems Engineering Integration and Test (WSEIT) Team by leading the development and maturation of the GBSD Systems Architecture. This position is the recognized expert in Weapon System Architecture including, Missile Systems, Command & Control, and Launch Systems to drive and develop innovative solutions to weapon system requirements. The successful candidate will Lead the architecture development, concept of operations definition development efforts from a system engineering perspective. Will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, preliminary trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Responsible for ensuring that the project attains a reasonable balance between cost and performance to ensure the program success. The position requires working with subject matter experts and engineers across multiple disciplines including communications, RF, hardware, firmware, software, safety, cyber, nuclear surety and security to document requirements; drive development of the system architecture and specification documents; identify, document, and conduct analyses and trades; develop testing and verification approaches and suites; drive development of system integration plans and support the Systems level reviews (SRR, SFR, SSR, and PDR). This position will start in September of 2017, and is contingent upon the GBSD TMRR award in September of 2017

Basic Qualifications
1) Familiarity with many technical disciplines including communications and power systems, strategic missile systems and avionics, ground system command and/or control, and launch facilities
2) Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and visual communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
3) Demonstrated systems engineering skills and experience, preferably as a chief engineer or CSE (5 years minimum, 10 years preferred)
4) Demonstrated track record of delivering product into government market and ability to evaluate and incorporate best commercial practices
5) Demonstrated knowledge and experience in successful systems engineering in cost driven environment
6) Track record of delivering qualified products on schedule and within budgets
7) New business pursuit and proposal development skills such as developing value proposition and pursuit strategy or writing proposals
8) Experience in evaluating and qualifying business case potential in the context of system architecture solutions

- Experience with US Air Force Weapon Systems Programs
- Experience with US Strategic Systems
- Experience with Missile Weapons Systems
- Experience working directly with the Warfighter to both develop and improve the operation of the weapon system to more effectively implement warfighter needs, techniques, and procedures
- Familiar with cross BA collaboration procedures
- Demonstrated team building and cross-organizational collaboration skills
- Experience with USAF Minuteman III Acquisition and Sustainment
- Broad Experience of Systems Engineering life Cycle process and tools.
- Experience with DOORS
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project).
- Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members.
- Effectively manage change
- Understanding of SysML and MBSE
