This position is with our historic Skunk Works and is located in Palmdale California.

The ideal candidate will be a System engineer for all U-2 related sustainment and new development activities. Will write requirements, perform risk assessments, perform trade studies, write SOWs (statement of work) and supplier specifications, perform technical planning, and perform requirements verification. Will be responsible for maintaining the Size, Thermal, Weight, and Power (SQWAP) database. Will perform SQWAP analysis for new or modified U-2 systems. Will coordinate with customer for all changes to SQWAP allocations. Responsible for writing and releasing U-2S Subsystem Requirement Allocations Documents. Will write procedures for new or improved processes. Will conduct Root Cause Corrective Action investigation as requested by Engineering Management. System engineering experience and classes are preferred

Must be a US citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related technical engineering discipline
Experience with Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint)
Experience in Systems Engineering in a professional environment or school courses
Experience with requirements definition, tracking and/or verification in a professional environment or school courses

Desired skills
Experience in writing processes and procedures
Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified
Experience with DOORS in a professional environment or school courses
System Engineer, Electrical/Aerospace Engineer with sensor or datalink experience
Experience with ACCESS from Microsoft Office
Final Secret Clearance
Strong Written; Verbal and interpersonal Communication Skills
