SSC has a full time Systems Engineering position available on an OCONUS Operations & Maintenance program in North Yorkshire, England. This position monitors remote assets in a real-time operations 24x7 environment. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Real-time operation of complex electronic data processing and communications systems for the USG

• Perform preliminary analysis of various data to monitor ongoing system performance and to make configuration changes which enhance or improve system performance.

• Review all system configuration changes and implement those changes

• Document significant events, equipment and system problems and the resolution thereof

• Clearly communicate anomalous observations and events to supporting engineering staff, senior LM management and customers

• Participate in system anomaly troubleshooting and recovery procedures and processes

The crew schedule is on rotating 12 hour shifts covering 24x7 operations

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A TS/SCI w/Poly is required to start

Basic Qualifications
Must have a Bachelors degree with 2-5 years of professional, relevant experience. In lieu of a degree candidates who have 10-13 years of relevant experience will also be considered

Previous experience working in an environment responsible for monitoring and configuration for real-time operation of complex electronic data processing and communications systems.

Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.

Must have demonstrated ability to perform in a real-time operational environment.

The ability to perform in a small team environment is essential.

Must be a U.S. citizen

Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly to start

Must be willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule in order to provide 24x7 operations coverage

Desired skills
Basic knowledge of RF and electronics principles desired.

Be able to read and follow technical flow diagrams, troubleshoot subsystem level problems and expand troubleshooting to system level.

Self starter, motivated to take on additional responsibilities
