Directly supports the Missile Defensive System (MDS) LOB by supporting THAAD System Integration (SI) activities. Perform technical and leadership functions to integrate activities with THAAD components and other System Engineering groups. Lead functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trades to ensure requirement compatibility with preliminary and as-built design. Ensure standard technical processes are available and properly implemented on THAAD. Development and documentation of Interface Control Design (ICD) requirements for the THAAD Weapon System. Work in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups and technical interchange meetings with TPO customer. Lead weapon system anomaly investigations to isolate root cause, and review/approve recommended corrective actions. Ensure the functional performance of the overall system meets allocated requirements. Verify physical and functional interface design is compliant with System Requirement Specifications. Identify, resolve and close system interface issues. Confirm THAAD Weapon System readiness and test operations risks are acceptable to ensure mission success on flight test operations. Conduct critical path analyses to ensure all necessary activities for a successful mission are executed on or ahead of schedule. Ensure systematic integration and flight test readiness of the THAAD Weapon System consistent with program requirements, technical, schedule and cost constraints. Support development and preparation of flight test readiness review materials in support of each flight test. Develop flight test documentation supporting execution of the THAAD flight test program. Exemplify and promote values of integrity and ethical behavior, dedication to mission success, and teamwork dedicated to the overall interest of the corporation and THAAD program. Provide a positive influence on the productivity and morale of the systems engineering organization, teammates and peers

This position will require domestic travel up to 20%

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with system engineering (e.g., generation of interface requirements, integration design and test issue resolution, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop system level specifications, interface design message and protocols for integrated hardware and software
- Must have experience in interfacing with a DOD customer and industry counterparts
- Strong focus on Mission Success and proven ability to manage change are required
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be willing to do domestic travel
- Must hold a DOD Secret clearance or higher

Desired skills
- Project planning and/or earned value management (EVM) experience.
- Familiarity with programs across the Missile Defense Systems Agency.
- Knowledge of the system engineering process and tools
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) communications.
- Candidate is MRB certified with the ability to perform research necessary to resolve and document weapon system integration issues as well as participate in failure review boards and assist with the disposition of discrepancy documentation.
- Experience and knowledge of Flight Test programs and National missile test range operations
- Candidate will also work with other engineers on integration issues involving the development of future system capability
