Develop concept designs of advanced space systems. Analyze requirements and constraints and perform trade studies at the subsystem and component levels to define conceptual baselines of spacecraft and payloads meeting mission needs. Evaluate existing components for suitability and identify effort needed to modify existing designs or develop new ones. Develop basic engineering products to document the baseline, including mass and power equipment lists, program hardware/software lists, block diagrams, and resource budgets. Work with subject matter experts to analyze the baselines and forecast performance. Evaluate technology risks associated with new developments

Basic Qualifications
1)Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering or related discipline or equivalent related experience
2) Minimum 3 years of previous space systems engineering experience
3) Active TS/SCI

Desired skills
1) Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
2) Knowledge of process control techniques and methods
3) Materials engineering expertise in advanced materials
4) Previous experience in space hardware design
