This is a position for an F-35 Systems Engineering SECOND SHIFT Functional Manager supporting the JSF Training Systems Integration and Test Team. This manager will have responsibility for approximately 10 to 15 Systems Engineers.

The manager performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

The manager is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

The manager will be responsible to assist and mentor systems engineers who will be performing a variety of tasking including functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

Basic Qualifications
Proven performance as a systems engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Requirements Analysis, Systems Design, Integration and Test and/or a related Systems Engineering discipline

Proven performance as a team leader working on a complex development effort

Candidate Will Have Experienced in the Following Areas:
o Hardware/software integration
o Test procedure development and execution
o Requirements verification
o System validation
o Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment
o COTS equipment and system integration
o Electrical/electronic troubleshooting

Must have a current Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a JSF Special Access Clearance

Desired skills
o Software development and design
o Information technology
o Systems and network administration (a plus)
o 4th/5th Generation Fighter or other Military Mission Systems/Avionics Experience [i.e. radar, EO/IR sensors, weapons, EW] (a plus)
o Aviation or Flight Simulation Experience (a plus)
o Domain knowledge working on aircraft vehicles, pilot training devices, maintenance training devices, simulators, classroom trainers, and/or mission critical systems.
o Experience as a functional manager leading a group of at least 10 people.
o Systems Engineering Certification.
o Experience as a Cost Account manager.
o Experience In deploying systems to customer facilities,
o Experience working with classified systems in a lab environment
