The selected candidate will support the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Autonomic Logistics Information Systems (ALIS) program as a Systems Engineering Manager responsible for managing a team of approximately 10 to 15 Systems Engineers, This position reports directly to the F-35 Logistics System Engineering Sr. Mgr.

This FLM will assist in leading the functional evolution and execution of the site SE strategy, and maturing the Systems Engineering culturing at the Orlando MST site focusing on Model-Based System Design (MBSD) practices within a Scaled Agile Framework Environment (SAFe). In this dynamic role, the Systems Engineer Mgr will be responsible for day-to-day managerial duties for his/her team while working with SE Leadership to align current MBE practices and methods with the ALIS Agile Development process in order to engage customers, stakeholders, and drive the development of key SE design artifacts to ensure that the system design accurately and effectively communicate the vision of the ALIS system.

Responsibilities also include determining/managing risks and opportunities, supporting advancements in the use of the Enterprise Architect (EA) tool for specific program needs, assisting with modeling efforts through the use of SysML/UML, supporting system-level integration and verification activities, and developing and/or maintaining strong relationships with our interfacing partners. The selected candidate will support the SAFe Architecture and Engineering Team as a key technical SE member; As the organizational primary POC, will serve as the organizational visionary for advancing F-35 Logistics in the methodology of MBE working with the design teams, RMS DDE efforts, and strategically evolving proficiency with the F-35 Logistics SE Sr. Mgr

Basic Qualifications
Must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college

Systems Modeling and Design (SysML) and experience working with an enterprise-level toolset

Model Based System Design experience a must

Experience engaging dynamic teams in a rapid software development environment while employing Model Based Tool Sets, Requirements configuration tools (DOORS), and Agile methodologies

Strong communicator and leader of cross discipline teams. Past history and sustained performance & proven experience in guiding teams and leading personnel in growing a culture in learning and training of best practices in Model Based Design and Systems Engineering.

Strong ability and desire to train others and expand to the broader organization in building bench strength and skill for the future in MBSD

Must have a final Secret security clearance

Desired skills
- JSF ALIS experience
- Familiarity with Agile development
- Data modeling/Domain Object Modeling
- Human Factors and HMI development experience
- Systems Modeling and Design (with SysML) and experience working with an enterprise-level toolset (e.g. Enterprise Architect or Rhapsody)
- Report scripting via tool API using VB, DXL, etc
- Experience following an implementation through the full life cycle
- Experience with Confluence & JIRA
- Experience managing requirements in DOORs
