This is an opportunity to work on the Labs and Technical Services (L&TS) Systems Engineering team. L&TS is a highly innovative team responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery

This position is for a Systems Engineering role assigned to the Battlespace Environment (BSE) team. The primary set of responsibilities of this position include performing system requirements derivation, requirements management and system design development, system integration, system requirements verification, estimates based on system requirements, system performance validation, and investigating laboratory anomalies.

This task includes analyzing system requirements and system designs, developing test plan strategies, development of test procedures and test execution, engineering analysis of performance parameters as well as creating the necessary artifacts, conducting reviews on each artifact, and configuration management of artifacts and products. Responsibilities will included frequent communication with team members, customer stakeholders and with external team’s Subject Matter Experts

Must be a US citizen. this position requires special access and will require a Secret security clearance

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering-related field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics)
- Experience in performing one or more of the following: system requirements development, system design development, system integration and/or verification

Desired skills
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering-related field
- Knowledgeable using the following Tools: DOORS, MatLab, VersionOne
- Experience working in a Laboratory environment
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Has a demonstrated software or hardware development experience
- Strong oral written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong work ethic, ability to work with limited supervision, self-motivated
