A broadly skilled System Administrator for the Air6500 program providing on-site maintenance and support of program related enterprise environments which includes:
• Windows and Linux-based physical and virtual application servers
• Network Services including DHCP and DNS
• Storage Solutions including NAS and SAN
• Disk and Tape Backup solutions
• Database servers

System Administrator duties include:
• Assisting in setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products (COTS / GOTS / FOSS)
• Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
• Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software for integrating COTS/GOTS/FOSS applications into UNIX (Solaris 10/11, LINUX) and/or WINDOWS systems.
• Experience troubleshooting system resources
• Hands on experience executing System administration tasks on Windows IT environments
• Hands on experience developing automation scripts for manual tasks Active directory

Basic Qualifications
Candidates must have a Final Transferable Secret security clearance; last Periodic Reinvestigation must be within the last six years.
1. Strong system & software engineering and/or system administration process background
2. Prior System Administrator experience with Desktop/Server Windows Operating Systems
3. Intermediate knowledge of Linux Administration
4. Knowledge of Server virtualization (Hyper-V/VMWARE)
5. Must hold an active US DoD Security clearance
6. Excellent written and communication skills. Quick thinker, fast learner, proactive problem solver, creative, critical thinking skills. Develops solutions to assigned technical problems of limited scope

Desired skills
1. Proficiency in all MS Office applications
2. Familiarity with existing LM products and processes applicable to Command & Control (C2) hardware and software
3. Understanding of RMF process, STIGs, DIACAP and/or Certified in Security+
4. Demonstrated system administration skills, to include:
5. Setting up configuring and troubleshooting all aspects that make up Storage Area Network (SAN), logical unit number (LUN) and host bus adapter (HBA) Hardware
6. Setting up configuring and troubleshooting all aspects that make up Internet Protocol (IP) Switch Fabric architecture (Routing, Failover, etc)
a) Strong working knowledge of VMware/vCenter/vSphere administration
b) Engineering skills required for maintaining Enterprise Server Racks
c) Performing System Virtual Volume Imaging and Recovery, Disk-to-Disk/DR and Disk-to-Tape
d) Understanding of Network Open System Interconnection (OSI) Model Layers and working knowledge of Cisco IOS
e) Certificate Authority / SSL security architecture
f) Backups of Physical servers (Windows 2012/2016 OS), virtual machines, ESXi server using utilizing a Quantum Tape Autoloader and Backup Exec and/or Acronis Backup
g) Disaster recovery/restores
h) Hardware/System Monitoring of physical and virtual servers
i) System Maintenance - scheduled upgrades/maintenance, startup and shutdown of rack components
j) Software Maintenance – applying OS updates, antivirus/antispyware updates, and patch updates for Windows, Linux and VMWARE products
k) User Account Maintenance (Active Directory/LDAP)
l) COTS/developed software skills
7. Software Engineering background and experience
8. Integration & Test experience
9. Database application and/or administration experience is a plus
