Job Details

Provide systems engineering and mission operations support to the Factory Operations Support Facility (OSF) within Echelon 2 (E2) contract of Military Support Programs (MSP).

As an OSF Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing basic systems engineering technical support to the OSF for daily and 24 hour contingency operations, hardware and software baseline deliveries, spacecraft anomaly response and resolution activities, and factory readiness activities for new satellite deployments. You will configure spacecraft ground system command and control software/hardware; perform daily monitoring and troubleshooting of OSF ground system processes and equipment; plan and implement new software/hardware ground system baseline delivery plans; provide support to spacecraft engineering and anomaly resolution activities; and implement contingency operations procedures. At times you will be called upon to provide critical operations support during 24 hour shift operations to various internal and external customers requiring independent thinking and focused dedication to the mission.

We are looking for an energetic person that is motivated to learn new skills, performs well in a team environment and will demonstrate a high level of professionalism towards mission accomplishment. Candidate will work with software environments and applications such as Microsoft Windows/Office, LINUX REDHAT, MATLAB, Satellite Took Kit, and other company proprietary applications for satellite ground and flight operations

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, such as Engineering or Computer Science
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance (US citizenship required)
• Possess strong oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Available to work occasional scheduled or unscheduled shift hours, overtime and be available 24x7 during scheduled pager on-call hours to support program needs

Desired skills
• Experienced with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with UNIX or LINUX operating system environment, commands and scripting is desired.
• Knowledge of PERL scripting and MATLAB is a plus.
• Candidate should be detail oriented and exhibit the ability and dedication to learn new and complex systems and procedures quickly.
• Ability to work projects and tasks individually or collaboratively with a close-knit team.
• Comfortable taking direction from or assist any team member or customer without regard to position.
• Candidate should have the maturity and composure to handle multiple priorities during heightened activity levels
