The C2 Ground family of programs is seeking to fill a Systems Engineer-IT (l-code) position. Candidate selected will be part of a highly motivated and results oriented team engaged in design and development of ground-based Software & COTS Hardware systems. Candidate must exhibit technical leadership attributes, must be capable of working under general direction, and must be capable of providing thorough and practical technical solutions to a wide range of problems. The C2 Systems business area supports multiple programs, studies and IRAD efforts. C2 Systems develops highly reliable command & control systems. These systems demand integration of high-end COTS and custom hardware, interfacing to complex communications systems, and support demanding environmental conditions in fixed-facility and transportable configurations
The candidate must have comprehensive background in systems integration and have extensive working knowledge of Windows and UNIX System Administration, COTS hardware and software, Cisco Network and LAN support. Must have extensive knowledge of OS installation, applications installation and virus detection implementation. Must establish and maintaining system security auditing, troubleshooting, debugging hardware & network problems. Candidate must be knowledgeable of networks, switches, routers, and other CISCO products. Be able to facilitate testing across diverse disciplines, working closely with the design teams to understand and develop COTS integration strategies. Plans, schedules, and equipment usage in test lab as required for testing & evaluating standard and special devices. Must be an independent thinker, self-motivated, self-starter, & works with limited supervision in order to keep pace with the fast pace environment
Must be able to establish, update and follow lab procedures. Willing to work overtime as required, and provide scheduled pager support as required. Be flexible in order to support various roles within integration and provide recommendation for system architectures configuration. Candidate must have outstanding people, analytical, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to brief senior LM and customer management. Good analytical skills in COTS design, technical analysis and failure diagnosis
L-code responsibilities include staff recruiting, re-assignments, performance evaluations, promotions, recognition, career planning, career counseling, training, and other job actions. Lead 10-15 direct reports who directly support the C2 Line of Business. Span of leadership encompasses multiple projects, overseeing the implementation of engineering solutions across the program lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must have working knowledge of Windows, System Administration, Server/Workstation HP Hardware, Cisco Network and LAN support.

Must have knowledge of OS installation (ex: Windows Server 2012, 2016, Windows 10 and Solaris 10 or better)

Must be willing to travel, estimated at 10% to 20% of the year

Desired skills
Experience with scripting such as Perl, Python, PowerShell
Experience with basic network technology with Cisco hardware
Experience with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS) like QNX
Obtained one of the following degrees or certification in Information Technology(IT):
