This position is for an L-code and Agile Master role on S2 Leadership Team. The S2 Organization includes the Atlas Value Stream and focuses on IT Infrastructure and its associated products. This Manager role includes the Agile leadership, functional, cost, schedule and technical responsibilities for a 15 person team which includes multiple S2 product teams and tenant programs. The S2 Product Teams include the following IT Infrastructure products: Virtualization, Database, Operating Systems, Networks, Asset Management, Systems Engineering, Hardware, Storage, Software, Configuration Management, Information Assurance and Special Operations team supporting the Service Operations Center. The S2 tenant programs include Symphony, P321, P330, CSCF, OpsBlazer, Diamondback and others.

S2 is a dynamic, service organization dedicated to providing an IT/cloud infrastructure to our multiple tenants across various security and dissemination levels. As a service organization, the pulse of the day is dynamic as we strive to meet the mission requirements and needs of our tenants. This role works closely with the Release Train Engineer, Product Team leadership and Value Steam leadership as well as tenant program leadership. In ensuring the appropriate prioritization of S2 work, this role works closely with the S2 Business Owner and Product Manager in assessing and adjudicating a constant stream of incoming demands in a weekly Customer Engagement Demand meeting with our larger tenants and ad-hoc with remaining tenants

Agile Leadership responsibilities - Key participant in Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos and Inspect/Adapt Sessions (communicates business objectives and vision, participates in problem-solving, plan review and approval)
• Active participation in continuous improvement activities (e.g., Inspect and Adapt workshops) and S2 leadership activities
• Actively addressing and resolving escalated and organizational impediments
• Communicating Product Team status internally (weekly) and to the customer and other external stakeholders at monthly Program Management Reviews (PMRs) as necessary
• Successful execution Product Team cost, schedule and technical objectives for S2 tenants

Functional Management responsibilities – development of S2 talent which includes the functional lifecycle of setting objectives through performance discussions, training plans, regular feedback
• Managing product team staffing levels - developing and executing hiring and roll-off plans to support tenant programs
• Managing virtual (non co-located, geographically dispersed VF and WMA) teams

Cost Management responsibilities - This role will also include some CAM (Cost Account Management) responsibilities. CAM responsibilities include understanding authorized work content and schedule (with success criteria) which contributes to roadmap development and release planning budget analysis determining if the work planned is prioritized and allocated according to budget.
• Providing inputs to costing efforts such as ROM and WAGs
• Generation of BOEs for multiple tenants
• Monthly variance reviews require understanding of work budgeted, scheduled and performed. This Manager has key insight for understanding cost and schedule variances and contributes to variance reviews and corrective actions.
• Ensuring teams are appropriately charging for work performed is enabled through communication to teams of work alignment to project and tracking work and charging direction in ServiceNow

Schedule and Technical responsibilities - Broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure and a deep knowledge of at least one Product Team and tenant program area is necessary to transition into the role in a reasonable time. A strong candidate would be familiar with Agile methodology and managing technical, schedule and cost baseline

Basic Qualifications
• IT infrastructure experience with at least one S2 product team domain as listed in the requisition
• Demonstrated collaboration and team-focused mindset
• Cost responsibility as CAM
• Agile methodology experience
• SCI clearance

Desired skills
• Familiarity with our singular service management tool, ServiceNow, which handles our incident and demand management as well as our planned and unplanned work and maintenance is beneficial.
• Experience with one or more domains of the S2 Product Team Portfolio: Virtualization, Database, Operating Systems, Networks, Asset Management, Systems Engineering, Hardware, Storage, Software, Configuration Management, Information Assurance and Special Operations team supporting the Service Operations Center.
• Experience with one or more S2 tenant programs: Symphony, P321, P330, Diamondback, CSCF, OpsBlazer
• Experience managing virtual teams functionally and/or technically
• Management of multiple program tenants and balancing their priorities competing for resources
• S2 follows SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and Agile methodology to plan and execute work, so familiarity with this framework and methodology is essential.
• S2 leadership understands ITIL (IT Information Library) and are certified in ITIL Foundations
