The AMARANTH program provides system engineering support to our government customer across multiple sites for technical problems of varying scope and complexity. This includes, but is not limited to: new system installations, system change identification and planning, coordination of engineering change requests, change board presentations, engineering change process, and baseline management.
This Systems Engineering and Integration team member is part of the internal program Shared Services Center that provides cross site support to a variety of activities including Requests for Change (RFC) distribution and review, internal training and knowledge management, Sharepoint site management and maintenance, risk/issue/opportunity management as well as other engineering services
Working at a customer facility with daily customer interaction requires effective and accurate exchange of information across a multi-location enterprise, with customer visibility into systems engineering based actions and response. The candidate must understand the sites and enterprise to help resolve issues and provide support across the enterprise. The candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi contractor team and demonstrate initiative as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
The selected candidate will work as part of a team of specialists in a multidisciplinary role that may include, but is not limited to:
- Leadership of internal knowledge management activities to help ensure continuity of program expertise
- Leadership, or support to, internal skills mapping, identification of training requirements and training activities to support shifts in skill set requirements, or new employee training
- Sharepoint site development, and maintenance.
- Technical coordination and execution of tasks that support various engineering areas such as configuration/change management, performance assessment, engineering analysis and system integrations. Resolution of engineering problems and issues as required
- Leadership, or participation in, defining & documenting systems engineering processes including evaluation of site engineering practices, and leading/participating in engineering process improvement activities
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Some travel may be required
Position can be filled in Virginia, New Mexico or Colorado

Basic Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience with knowledge management, developing training plans, performing training assessments and providing training

The candidate must have a technical background to include experience collaborating with a broad range of organizations and groups/teams

Applicant must be a proficient communicator, be able to respond effectively to changing situations, and be able to properly prioritize, status, and work multiple tasks.

Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to function in a multi-contractor environment with the ability to broker conflicting inputs from multiple organizations

Self-motivated and able to work under general supervision with the ability to function effectively in a rapidly changing environment with minimal supervision is necessary

Experience with Sharepoint

Active TS/SCI clearance required

Desired skills
Strong organizational skills to include project planning and scheduling, project team leadership and requirements management and satisfaction

Familiarity with national systems missions and concepts

Experience developing, quantifying and implementing process improvements
