Contribute to a multi-functional integration product development team engaged in radar system control design, development, simulation and specification. Specifically model and analyze performance of discrimination and tracking requirements for ballistic missile defense (BMD). Understand the radar system capabilities, threat capabilities, and characteristics of adverse environments. Conduct verification of radar requirements. Develop data analysis tools and perform analysis of the data. Utilize modeling and simulation as a method to implement and assess algorithm performance. Support the preparation of presentations for concepts and performance results at internal/external working groups, technical interchange meetings and customer reviews

Basic Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent. 9+ years of engineering experience in algorithm design development and performance analysis. Proficient in the use of Matlab and C++ or equivalent high level computing language. Strong mathematics background in linear algebra, statistical analysis and signal processing. Demonstrated experience in algorithm development, analysis, and one or more of the following areas: sensor (radar) system analysis, design, modeling, simulation, integration, test. Qualified candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship

Desired skills
Radar systems experience with ballistic missile defense and anti-air warfare challenges. Experienced with techniques used in target discrimination, target tracking, data analytics, or decision systems. Experience in signal processing and image processing techniques. Strong experience with modeling and simulation tool development and analysis. Experience performing trades studies, requirements development - analysis, derivation, allocation, and documentation, engineering design and development, software development processes and Systems and software modeling. Familiarity with design, tools and environments for radar systems and subsystems for performance analysis and modeling. Strong communication skills, (written and verbal). Familiarity or comfort with the Agile framework for project teams. Good troubleshooting and analysis skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to work as part of a virtual team with other Lockheed Martin sites from a satellite office
(Master's Degree preferred)
