Job Details

Manager for the electrical support equipment team in support of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program, Electrical Support Equipment (SE) Design responsible for: technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for electrical Support equipment. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, problem investigation, fleet support, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies. Provides direct, daily leadership and functional management of up to 8 subordinate engineers

Basic Qualifications
1. Knowledge of requirements allocation to Architecture
2. Knowledge of Systems life-cycle
3. Experience with the development of studies, engineering
analysis, root cause analysis and engineering white papers
4. Ability to lead and moderate major technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)
5. Strong customer orientation, ability to engage
6. Good verbal and written communications skills. Expert with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Communicator, email, etc
7. Strong team player, Ability to work across disciplines and in a diverse environment. Goal oriented and self-directed
8. Strong knowledge of electronics, electrical systems and electro-mechanical systems used for testing electrical missile systems and flight hardware
9. Demonstrated leadership of small technical teams
10. Leadership skills and behaviors that align with Full Spectrum leadership (FSL) imperatives
11. Experience with tactical planning and scheduling of Engineering work products and deliverables
12. Experience developing budget and proposal text for annual development project BOEs

Desired skills
1. System CONOPS development experience
2. Requirements Analysis and Synthesis (specifications, SRD and V&V) experience
3. LM-21, 6-Sigma or Lean process training
4. Electrical Hardware and or Software Design experience
5. Technical FBM background
