Lockheed Martin is looking for world-class talent in Operations Analysis to join our historic Skunk Works team located in Fort Worth. As a member of the Operations Analysis organization, the candidate will be performing modeling and analysis of military systems to quantify the impact of operational concepts (CONOPS), system design, payloads, weapons and tactics, and force size/mix on survivability and mission effectiveness, as well as perform analysis to support requirements definition, concept of operations evaluation, operational and cost effectiveness studies, and military utility assessment. Responsibilities will include researching military systems performance and operations, modeling military systems and scenarios in digital simulations, executing trade studies utilizing constructive engagement and/or mission simulations, quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs), analyzing simulation results to draw meaningful conclusions, preparing reports/briefings and presenting analysis results.

This position will report to the Future Fighters Team; however, the selected candidate will support the entire directorate with analysis support. This includes Future Fighter programs, Legacy Fighter programs, Air Mobility and Maritime Missions, ADP programs, and Aero Strategy & Business Development.

An active Secret government security clearance with a Background investigation within five years is required to start. Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and access to Special Access Programs

Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access.


Basic Qualifications

Candidate must have a Bachelor or Above technical degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or operations research

Strong computer skills are required with experience with one or both Linux and Windows

An active Secret government security clearance with a Background investigation within five years is required to start. Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and access to Special Access Programs

Desired skills

Experience in a field related to Military Operations Analysis; such as, Vehicle Design, Sensors, Signature Management, Weapons, Space, Cyber, Strategy, Human Systems Integration, or Electronic Warfare

Prior experience in system engineering or military operations analysis desired; including, experience in military constructive simulations or trade study design
- Have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Prior experience with Excel/VBA/C++/JAVA/PERL/XML

Mathematical and/or Statistical Modeling skills

MATLAB knowledge

Knowledge of military systems; with experience modeling employment of weapon systems and the operation of threat air & ground systems in simulations

Prior experience with Operational analysis Tools is desired (ESAMS, JAAM, BRAWLER, SUPPRESSOR, EADSIMS, AFSIM, MOSAIC, THUNDER, CFAM)

Microsoft Office Expert

Design of experiments and/or optimization knowledge

Good written and verbal communication skills

Aerospace degree may be a plus

Experience with analytical thinking and problem solving skills are required
