This position is for a Combat System (CS) – Command, Control, & Communications (C3) and Radar Development and Integration systems architect. This role will provide technical direction and management over all aspects of Combat System – C3/Radar computer program development and integration
The CS-C3/Radar Integration Lead will be responsible for understanding and synthesizing threat data, intelligence information, CONOPS, UONS, technical goals, and programmatic constraints, to understand failure modes, determine capabilities & limitations, to lay-out and conduct feasibility assessments, identify solution options, and quantify associated risks and cost. This work includes execution of modeling, simulation, and proto-typing activities to support concept development, evaluation, detailed design, and implementation

System/subsystem design, definition and execution of design trade-off analyses, functional analysis, requirements flow-down and allocation, computer program code development (writing code), testing, reviews and inspections, specification of inter-computer and communications processing requirements will be performed by the CS-C3/Radar Integration Lead. Furthermore the Lead will specify A-level/SRR, B1, B2, CSRD, and/or B5 detailed design level requirements and conduct studies necessary to establish error budgets, allocate performance across systems/components, and/or optimize combat capability in terms of parameters such as PES, Pk, PRA, and depth of fire.

The CS-C3/Radar Lead is responsible for technical performance measures, production test procedures, test methodology, execution of model-driven test, and process/process improvements, tools, scripts. The Lead is responsible for understanding and executing system integration and test definition in the context of the full development effort from concept development through formal L5 system test, logistics, maintenance, training, sustainment, tactics, at-sea test, and operational deployment

This position requires engagement with systems and HW/SW engineering to ensure the products satisfy all requirements and are adaptable, high-performance, affordable, componentized, highly reliable, maintainable, and available systems.

Additional responsibilities include: 1) CS-C3/Radar financial (CPI), schedule (SPI), and technical support and/or management. 2) Creation of schedules, tasks, staffing plans, discrete earned value management plans, product features, and stories. 3) Presentation plans, status, and results to team members, peers, program leadership and the highest-level customer personnel

Basic Qualifications
- BS in EE, SE, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent, MS strongly preferred.
- Experience in architecture, system-subsystem integration, land-based test site (LBTS) and at-sea tests and activities, including experience in trackex and livefire events.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes, the flowdown of system requirements, and the interaction of system and subsystem requirements that result in a firm set of system and subsystem level performance requirements
- Knowledge of emerging system engineering practices and experience in adopting and implementing key practices.
- Strong risk management experience and expertise, including identification, mitigation and abatement planning and tracking
- Demonstrated ability integrating large complex combat system and radar capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience creating data-driven change in support of improving affordability and quality
- Knowledge of DOD policy on acquisition management with a particular focus on impacts to design review, test reviews and customer decision milestones
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
